Laboratory Testing

Office visits for labwork only may be scheduled with a nurse Monday-Thursday between 8:30-11:00 AM if approved by your practitioner. We reserve the right to refuse to draw your labwork without an appointment with your practitioner. Labwork will not be scheduled prior to a physical or check-up as we may decide to include additional tests based on your office visit. If you would like your labwork done during your practitioner visit, please come fasting for your appointment. Fasting means nothing to eat or drink within eight hours. Exceptions include plain water and most medications except diabetic medications or medications taken with food. If you are diabetic, please schedule your appointment early in the morning and bring your medications and a snack with you.

Although the labwork is drawn in our office, most of the time it is drawn by a phlebotomist who is employed by an independent laboratory and not affiliated with Blue Mesa Medical.
